Oracle Principal Quality Assurance Engineer in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

The development group in the Construction and Engineering Global Industries Unit is focused on developing enterprise level solutions for our customers in project intensive industries. Our applications provide project and portfolio management, contract management, resource management, and risk management solutions used by customers worldwide.

You will be joining a high performing cross-functional team that will operate in the platform area. We leverage an agile development methodology (scrum) to facilitate the development of our products. Our development practices include empowered scrum teams, continuous build and integration, and a heavy emphasis on testing early and often.

Our team’s mission is to develop and enhance platform services that develop a Smart Construction Platform for CEGIU products and beyond while taking Oracle Cloud (OCI), security and scalability into consideration.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:-

  • Driving performance related initiatives (framework definition, best practices and KPI's).

  • Develop and conduct performance tests on critical functionality, isolating bottlenecks, and fine-tuning performance, reliability, and scalability

  • Creating benchmark tests for identifying application and system performance. Analyzing results and providing comprehensive reporting.

  • Working closely with solution architects, developers and operations team to log defects for performance requirements that are not met.

  • Manage automation frameworks (JUnit,Jmeter, Selenium)

  • Participating in code reviews

  • Engaging actively in the technical decision making process

  • Keeping abreast of the latest technologies (including Oracle technologies) and assimilating them into the testing suites

Candidate must have:

  • Overall 7 plus years’ experience in software and system performance, load and stress testing is required

  • Good knowledge/programming in any in Object Oriented languages, Core Java is a preferred.

  • Good knowledge of Weblogic, Oracle DB.

  • Experience testing of applications on web-based, client/server, UNIX and X86, X64 platforms.

  • A solid working knowledge of metrics and models in Performance engineering.

  • Working knowledge of relational database technology and SQL

  • Experience in agile/scrum development methodology is a plus

  • Experience in scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell, etc.), is a plus

  • Experience with Git and build tools is plus.

  • Experience in using testing automation tools (like LoadRunner, WebTest, JMeter, Grinder, Load Runner, Fit, FitNesse or others) (Not just recording and play back)

  • Expert analytical and troubleshooting skills

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise.
