Human Resources Representative
As a Human Resource Representative atCaterpillar, you will assist in the administration of various human resourceservices and functions within Japan. Your current skills and knowledge will bean asset in this role as you interact with management to answer HR questions,resolve issues, and assist with driving HR initiatives within the organization.
Duties/Responsibilitiesmay include, but are not limited to:
This position is responsible for supportingthe Regional Human Resources Manager for Japan. You will manage and contributeto the development and administration of human resources policies andprocedures and be actively involved in the joint strategic leadership of countylevel HR topics.
・Assists Labor Relations Manager in developingCompany positions and writing contract language for periodic negotiations.Conducts research of negotiable subject matters and participates in thepreparation and writing of contract language at periodic negotiations.
・A key member in negotiations with the unionand provides input and insight into the company’s position.
・Propose or update company policy reflectingby labor law change, corporate policy and C B condition change.
・Lead projects or assist HR manager forconducting various types of project (Reorganization, M&A related projectsetc.)
・Support global C B team to conduct analysis onorganization compensation data, develop annual salary planning, and work onspecial research projects.
・For Japan local Benefits, perform analysis ofmarket and organization benefits data; make proposals, responsible forimplementing the company's benefits policy, work with global C B team and localHR leaders on benefits budgets and proposals.
・5 years of HR job related experience
・College or university degree
・Language: Fluent speaking and experienced in businesswriting in Japanese, Business level English
・Experience working in a global company
・Knowledge of labor laws and company unionrelationship
・Experience in various areas of humanresources including employment, pay-related practices/process, compensation andcompany policy and procedures
・Desire and flexibility to stretch outside ofnormal work assignment
・Proactively offer solutions while usingcritical thinking to solve problems
・Good human relations and effectivecommunications skills to develop a cooperative work relationships with othersinside and outside of department/facility
・Ability to work both in a co-located andvirtual team environment
