Candidates who are interested in working at a dynamic organization with a growing team will be interested in this Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position, which will match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The job site for the permanent Accounts Payable Clerk is in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.

Major responsibilities

• Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

• Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

• Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

• Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

• Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

• Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

• Operate full-cycle A/P

• Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Microsoft Excel experience

• Strong familiarity with PeopleSoft

• PeopleSoft experience

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
