Vontier Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Janesville, Wisconsin

The Manufacturing Engineer Manager is the champion for promoting successful implementation of Vontier Business Systems within the Operations group. The Manufacturing Engineer Manager will oversee technical operations teams which may include manufacturing engineering, facilities maintenance, and quality team members. They will be responsible for leading the change process, capex planning, and project prioritization, in collaboration with safety and production teams and in alignment with the ANGI overall strategy and goals.

Expected results include the relentless pursuit of waste elimination to promote; process optimization, productivity improvements, reduced cycle times, lower material costs through simplifying designs and improving enhanced customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborates with other manufacturing managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.

  • Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency

  • Supervises Quality activities ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to customer satisfaction and safety standards

  • Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors.

  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of the maintenance department.

  • Prepares and implements the departmental budget

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Utilize process improvement tolls to drive CI Culture throughout the organization.

  • Anti- Profit dollars Warranty cost as a % of revenue

  • Scrap cost as a % revenue

  • Revenue $ per worked/ manufacturing hours

  • Non Confromance completion and sustainment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires and trains employees

  • Plans, assigns, and directs daily workflow of department

  • Appraise, perfroamnce, rewards and disciplines employees

  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; in Industrial, Manufacturing Technology or a Physical Science is desirable and at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience is required.
