Responsibilities
The primary function of the Asset Integrity (AI) Mechanical Software Lead is to ensure Eastman’s mechanical asset integrity standards and work processes are implemented within our software systems in order to meet or exceed our AI goals across the Corporation. These systems include, but are not limited to GE APM, PCMS, SAP/AssetView and related PowerBI reports.
Provide software expertise for all sites using Asset Integrity software systems to manage mechanical assets
Act as the business lead on projects including, but not limited to, the following:
GE APM modules – FMEA/RCM, Operator Rounds, Inspection Manager, Thickness Monitoring, Risk Based Inspection, Asset Criticality Assessment, & Asset Health
MISTRAS PCMS
SAP/AssetView
PowerBI
Manage security for software
Utilize or create needed LDAP groups
With IT support, develop security configurations as needed
Work with Software Support Lead to manage changes to security
Work closely with IT, Mechanical & Structural AI Engineers and user groups to update systems to accommodate new applications of the software or to make modifications to existing processes
Design work processes utilizing the available systems (dashboards, queries, reports etc.) to support and enhance user work processes
Follow established software standards
Clearly communicate requirements to IT
Test configurations and work with IT to resolve issues
Train and support users
Use corporate change management processes and tools
Fully train software support lead on changes
Work closely with the SAP team to establish or enhance the functional location, equipment, technical characteristics and/or work notification/order records necessary for the users work process
Troubleshoot system errors with software support lead and IT support
Support software upgrades by testing new versions and training users
Develop and support dashboards in software such as PowerBI
Design dashboards layout with input from users
Work with IT to build and test dashboards
Provide training and support with software support lead
Work with IT to provide tablet hardware and software support as needed
Work closely with the Software Support Lead to facilitate user training
Develop & document training for users as part of project work
Train Software Support Lead prior to project user testing sessions
As needed work with Software Support Lead to conduct classroom, virtual &/or field training
Network with other software support teams in other organizations to:
Ensure we standardize the software use as much as reasonable
Flex resources as needed for project support
Network to share best practices
Perform other related duties as assigned
Work in the field will be required up to 25%
Occasional travel will be required up to 25%
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Outlook)
Must have the physical capability to perform inspection duties in operating areas, including but not limited to: climbing ladders, working on your feet long hours, working around chemical processing equipment, working in all weather conditions, wearing all required personal protective equipment, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong teamwork skills
Must be a safe worker and have a demonstrated history of adhering to Eastman Basic Safety Expectations
Preferred additional qualifications:
Two-year or four-year technical degree
Completion of internal or external courses in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and/or PowerBI
Experience with PowerBI, GE APM(Meridium), SAP/Assetview, ProCal and/or ProjectWise
Experience training, presenting or speaking to small groups (i.e. crew safety rep, other assignments involving oral presentations)
Graduated from apprentice school if a mechanic, CSM or operator.
Familiar with NEMA, NEC, IEC or IEEE
Skills desired
