Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Kohler Energy

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite at Kohler Energy, WI

Opportunity

Responsible for the creation, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing systems in Power Systems. This involves understanding customer expectations for manufacturing processes, then developing and implementing the systems and standards that satisfy those expectations.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs and expectations pertaining to testing capabilities, process control, visual controls and material strategy, to allow for proper maintenance and creation of Kohlers Manufacturing Execution System.

  • Participate in continuous improvement (KOS events/workshops), productivity improvement and cost reductions efforts to constantly improve the process and lower cost.

  • Develop safe and ergonomically correct processes.Work with production supervision and maintenance to correct any unsafe conditions.

  • Analyze operations and sequence of operations to assure full utilization and maximum quality from present equipment.Answer and respond to inquiries related to the assembly processes.

  • Execute projects requiring efficient deployment of new technologies to Power Systems plants.

  • Provide technical support and monitor critical processes in the department.

  • Provide required support for ISO9001. Work closely with ISO coordinating team and production employees to ensure compliance to ISO9001 standards. Follow procedures established for Manufacturing Engineering to execute design changes, implementation of procedures and reference documents, and all documented responsibilities of Process Engineering.

Skills/Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

  • 2+ years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer is required.

Preferred –

LEAN/ Six Sigma experience.

The salary range for this position is $83,300 - $105,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
