Industrial Utilities Controller - 2nd Shift
Responsibilityto mechanically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machinesand related equipment that perform assembly, torque and material movementfunctions in the assembly areas. Applicant must possess the ability totroubleshoot and repair the following types of machines and components:mechanical repairs to utilities, test cells, building and grounds, pumprebuilds, HVAC, boiler operation and assembly maintenance.Seeking a team-oriented individual with apositive attitude, possesses a good work ethic that demonstrates personalinitiative and self-motivation.
Exampleof related equipment: Boiler operation, pumps, P&H cranes and hoists,conveyors, torque tools, washers, ABB robots, paint booth, Test Cells.
Possessthe ability to install, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, precisionbearings, HVAC, and a variety of other controllers on the machines in theassembly areas.
Applicantshould have a thorough understanding of leveling and alignment of machines,alignment of shafts, gearing, welding, lubrication principles, pipefitting, andtube bending.
Mustbe able to pass a 6G welding test.
Abackground with the ability to troubleshoot and repair large scale dynamometerswill be helpful.
Applicantmust have the ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic systemswhich may include but not be limited to compressors, valves, etc…
Applicantshould have proven boiler operator experience.
Applicantmust be able to read and understand mechanical prints, and possess a basicelectrical troubleshooting skills.
Applicantshould be able to perform work on overhead cranes such as changing wire ropesand other crane related repairs.
Applicantmust possess basic welding and cutting skills and the ability to operate basictools to complete the utilities controller job.
Applicantmust be able to work at heights and in confined spaces, and must be willing towork large amounts of overtime opportunities to support production demands.
Abackground with ABB robots will be helpful.
Thissolicitation is not for a Utilities apprenticeship program.
A minimum of 5 years ofIndustrial utilities and repair experience.Not residential, this is an industrial utilities position
Must have successfully completed an approved HVAC training program and possess practical experience in the HVAC field
Applicant must be willing to work large amounts of overtime opportunities to support production demands.
Applicant must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Extensive experience in the mechanical and/or electrical repair of machine tools and related equipmentis helpful
Located in Lafayette, IN LEC
2nd Shift Full Time position
Candidates relocating from 75 miles or more from the Lafayette facility are eligible for a $5,000 relocation fee
