Job Summary:

Akima Facilities Operations is looking for a Counter Small Unmanned Aerial System (C-sUAS) Operations Support Professional to work at Langley AFB, VA. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management, development, training, and implementation of C-sUAS as well as identify and resolve AF interoperability issues.

  • Support ACC SME with oversight of ACC installation reporting procedures for unauthorized UAS overflights within the MAJCOM.

  • Analyze and evaluate substantive program operations pertaining to countering small unmanned aerial system threats to Air Force personnel, facilities, equipment, airspace and property, management and organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.

  • Research and study evolving C-sUAS technology and systems, designed to detect and defeat group 1 through 3 UAS threats. Advise senior ACC leadership on potential technical solutions to mitigate, or eliminate, threats posed to Air Force resources by sUAS's.

  • Provide command liaison support to other Air Force, Joint, and Governmental agencies on C-sUAS issues.

  • Assist with research on day-to­-day C-sUAS program funding issues as they pertain to the execution of the current fiscal year budget and the programming of the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP).

  • Develop and recommend modifications to systems and programs around doctrine, tactics, and concepts of operations that track Air Force, OSD, and joint planning documents.

  • Support ACC individuals/units with US Code 130i and assist with the management of the 130i database for C-sUAS systems owned and operated by ACC installations and units. US Code 130i assistance also applies to related approvals and documentation to operate C-sUAS systems.

  • Provide coordination with the C-sUAS lead command, AFMC, and HAF A4S in meeting C-sUAS equipment requirements, funding, and approval of new systems for inclusion in the AF approved program of record.

  • Provide logistical support for the development and staffing of Staff packages, CONOPS, CONEMPS, enabling concepts, roadmaps, and contingency plans. Create and present briefings, background papers, and analysis for senior ACC leaders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess an Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with Counter-Small Unmanned Aerial Systems

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of DoD experience with Counter-Small Unmanned Aerial Systems, policies, and counter measures equipment

  • Experience as Army Air Missile Defense (14P), Air Force 1C5X1D, 13B3-, or 3P0X1 with C-sUAS experience is preferred - but not required

  • A minimum of a High School degree or GED is required
