Job Purpose

Implement, communicate, and monitor the Quality Management System. Responsible for ensuring products meet MCAM and customer quality requirements. Work with production and quality teams to determine cause of deviations and provide solutions. Responsible to test processes, design inspection plans, create quality documents, and monitor employee training. Monitor suppliers to ensure parts and raw materials meet quality standards. Analyze customer feedback and resolve any issues.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute various improvements to the quality process.

  • Perform quality assessments for processes and monitor all activities for measuring processes.

  • Train various team members for quality inspection procedures and ensure compliance of best practices.

  • Develop inspection initiatives and participate in internal meetings to develop inspection procedures.

  • Provide support to inspection and CNC technicians, resolve all manufacturing issues, and ensure inspection process improvement.

  • Troubleshoot CMM inspection programs for the Mesa, AZ facility along with supporting the Illinois facility, as required.

  • Focus on the daily customer and process-related issues to improve quality, on-time delivery, and process efficiencies.

  • Provide and oversee inspection activities for product throughout production cycle.

  • Support continuous improvement and elimination of waste from processes and methods.

  • Work independently to manage projects and assignments.

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and complete within required timelines.

  • Assist quality department with inspection activities as required.

  • Assist with training new technicians on the use of and the methodologies of inspection.

  • Work with internal and external customers to provide quality related documentation including FAI, PPAP, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Degree in Engineer or Science related field, highly preferred.

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in quality or related quality field.

  • Some technical related experience, including use of GD&T.

  • Experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

  • Must be a US citizen.

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $76,000 - $84,460. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
