Job Description
The Accounting Assistant is a full-time, entry-level position responsible for supporting the accounting staff in a variety of tasks related to accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls.
Receive and direct customers, vendors, and visitors.
Work with AR and AP completing basic accounting duties.
Scanning and indexing of documents into the document retention system.
Export and import data from one software to another.
Assist other departments as needed with special projects.
Qualifications:
Base knowledge of accounting with 1 year of experience preferred.
Strong computer skills to include knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and ability to learn and navigate software easily.
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Detail oriented.
