What You Will Do

The supplier quality manager is responsible for overall strategy for API supplier, including support for global API suppliers based in APAC. This role is responsible to partner with regional and local sourcing and cross functional team to develop strategy to build and improve suppliers’ quality systems to prevent and reduce risk of quality issues. This role is also responsible for APAC SQ reporting metrics and to ensure oversight of compliance for APAC SQ team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality & compliance oversight for APIs for Asia Pacific

  • Ensure Policy/procedures related to Supplier Management are implemented properly in APAC for API suppliers. Co-work with ASPAC Regional SQM team for assigned SQM Process / Initiative governance

  • Day-to-day supervision on implementation of the approved standard procedures related to API suppliers for Asia Pacific

  • Investigate, disposition propose and follow through of DM failures (Non-Conformance / Corrective Action & Preventive Action) in collaboration with local SQ teams

  • Participation in new / alternative supplier/material selection and qualification activities in support to compliance enhancement and business growth

  • Lead / support supplier audit for API suppliers located in India and conduct, post audit follow through following established Kenvue procedure requirements

  • Participate / lead supplier driven changes review, impact assessment and mitigation action execution associated with Suppliers/ Materials, in collaboration with local SQ teams

  • Lead monthly/weekly metrics/data reporting for Asia Pacific SQ team and perform necessary data analysis and review to raise high risk quality issue and NC trend to Supplier’s Management and ensure the implementation could help eliminate the risk and issue

  • Lead regional/global initiatives relating to supplier quality management e.g. optimization, standardization and digitalization

  • Provide leadership to team members to achieve the set OKRs. Regular review on the assignments and progress

Note: this role may involve frequent travelling up to 50% for audits, visits to supplier sites.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree or higher, major in relevant science (e.g. pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering, microbiology, food technology)

  • A minimum of 8 years working in Quality function in FMCG, pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong background in quality management or operations experience in API and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry

  • Good understanding on cGMP and other regulations in PIC/S and ICH knowledge is required

  • Strong experience in auditing and/or management of suppliers is preferred

  • Strong leadership/ Management Skill, business communication, urgency in time, collaboration, complexity/change handling, negotiation, good analytical skill/logical thinking

  • Good level proficiency in English - both written and verbal

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong background in digitization of quality management systems

  • 5 years of remotely managing a team.
