BEAMACO LLC Second-Shift CNC Machinist in MANITOWOC, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary: Under the supervision of the Shop Manager, the CNC machinist will be responsible for the set-up, adjustment, and operation of a variety of machinery, including horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, and grinders to manufacture machined parts requiring close tolerances. Responsibilities: 1. Read and interpret blueprint specifications, including GD&T to determine procedures and order of operations 2. Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools with limited supervision. 3. Ability to write new programs or edit existing programs using Fanuc, HAAS, and G-code is a plus. 4. Perform complex machine set-ups and critical operations, subject to review. 5. Operate various hand tools, power hand tools, and machine tools to make finish adjustments to parts. 6. Use and accurately read/interpret a variety of precision measuring devices to set up and adjust work and to verify conformance of work to drawing specifications. 7. Examine and feel surface of work piece for defects 8. Sharpen cutting tools as needed. 9. Troubleshoot operating, material, and tooling problems. 10. Perform general preventive maintenance work on tools and equipment. 11. Guide assisting personnel on correct procedures 12. Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for completed jobs. 13. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. 14. Understand and follow quality requirements and standards for each different customer. 15. Perform in-process checks to ensure quality conformance and avoid rework. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. While performing the regular duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to feel, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the use of an overhead hoist.
