The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in assigned territory, through identifying opportunities and gaining new business while maintaining existing business.

This is a genuine Account Manager (Duodopa) role requiring the successful person to manage and coordinate multiple stakeholders within the Hospital. You will be someone that is inquisitive and a problem solver, working with your customers and accounts to ensure a positive patient journey as the individual undergoes treatment as well as maintaining existing business.

The successful person will develop and manage new business strategies and opportunities to achieve profit targets through the identification and attraction of new markets and customers and/or the expansion of existing major accounts.

  • Explore and understand account-specific barriers to optimizing patient treatment and work collaboratively with customers to problem solve solutions.

  • Carry out sales calls, targeting high sales areas for maximum efficiency.

  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients. Understand referral pathways to maximize utilization of the company’s products.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity in assigned territory.

  • Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products and services to customer requirements.

  • Operate effectively in a multidisciplinary matrix team.

  • Quality, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:

  • Attend regular departmental meetings with manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.

  • Meet the requirements of ISO and Class A by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.

  • Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.

Qualifications

Experience that will help you get started

  • Excellent skills to develop relationships with stake-holders, networking, tact and diplomacy.

  • Demonstrated Account Management skills and experience within the Hospital setting and an ability to identify, partner with and leverage KOL relationships is critical. A history of demonstrating these capabilities and outcomes is essential

  • Pharmaceutical sales experience required, especially experience working in a multi-level hospital environment.

  • Completed industry qualification (CEP or equivalent).

  • Experience of dealing with Neurologists / Geriatricians preferred, however not essential.

  • Strong knowledge of the public and private hospital environment and pharmaceutical industry.
