Google Lead Accountant (English, Spanish) in Mexico City, Mexico

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or business, or equivalent practical experience

  • 4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related function.

  • Experience with accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, or MEX GAAP).

  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to engage with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL and SAP ERP.

  • Knowledge of electronic invoicing and accounting rules in Latin America.

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to support operational initiatives.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

  • Perform Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet analysis, and prepare Financial Analysis, Management Reports, and Statutory Financial Statements according to IFRS review and approve reconciliations.

  • Participate in ongoing policy, system, and control improvements, review and post entries, and intercompany transactions, interest on loans, and more.

  • Guide business to mitigate risk, support decision making, and help build the financial infrastructure.

  • Manage external audit management and follow up.

  • Manage the delivery of accounting and tax processes performed by external vendors ensuring all service levels are met.
