Robert Half Accounts receivable clerk in Miami, Florida

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function of the company, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, receipt of payments, and resolution of any discrepancies. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.

  • Record and reconcile customer payments in the accounting system.

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes.

  • Communicate with customers regarding payment inquiries or issues.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer transactions.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers.

  • Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and resolve customer issues.

  • Provide support for internal and external audits as needed.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience working in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
