Robert Half Staff Accountant in Miami, Florida

Description

Entertainment company looking for Jr. Staff Accountant

• Manage revenue coming from ticket sales through Ticketmaster and Seatgeek

• Communicate with various stadiums to ensure the accuracy of revenue reports

• Ensure that revenue reports align with the terms stated in the contracts

• Oversee settlements and ensure they match the contract terms

• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, and perform month-end close procedures

• Utilize MS Great Plains Dynamics and MS Great Plains Accounting software for various accounting tasks

• Read and interpret contracts, with a focus on those related to the sports industry

• Monitor and manage various expenses, including fees and services.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with MS Great Plains Dynamics and MS Great Plains Accounting software.

• Proven ability in Account Reconciliation, Cash Reconciliations, and Credit Card Reconciliation.

• Experience in handling Contracts and Contracts Finance.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
