Job Description OVERVIEW General Mills is seeking to hire a strategy professional to join our Corporate Strategy team.In 2020, General Mills declared a new vision to be the Undisputed Leader in Food and introduced a new Accelerate strategic framework. The Corporate Strategy team supports the CEO and senior business leaders to drive the Accelerate strategy and advance initiatives key to General Mills' future growth. The team leads project-based work with a highly collaborative approach. The role has high external orientation and offers the opportunity for enterprise-level impact and exposure to different parts of the business through a variety of project experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategy consulting and have demonstrated the ability to influence at the most senior levels of an organization. Partner with senior leaders to develop and advance enterprise strategy including leading key initiatives Make adjustments to existing strategies based on new learning/changes in the competitive environment Identify and deconstruct business issues and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses and influence enterprise decisions Lead internal and external project teams which are typically cross-functional in nature Manage communication with key business partners Proactively works with the business partners to support them in any operational roadblocks to ensure results are delivered Perform analysis informed by external consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic / geopolitical trends Prepare "executive ready" project deliverables and manage communication with key stakeholders Empower, coach, develop, and/or supervise multiple team members MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree 5+ years relevant experience Experience working in the context of a large, complex, global organization, where working across boundaries and leading through influence are keys to success Experience managing internal and external cross-functional teams and partnering with multiple business functions Strategic mindset with strong critical thinking skills and ability to craft compelling business cases Highly analytical, logical, structured problem solver Comfort with navigating ambiguity and with being constantly challenged/stretched Excellent communicator (both oral and written) Strong business partner Thrive in a collaborative, dynamic work environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience at either a strategy consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey, etc.) or in a corporate strategy role MBA Experience in consumer packaged goods industry, including understanding of market, customer, competitor and innovation trends (may include food, packaged goods, or personal care) Global perspective, ideally with experience working outside of the U.S. Decisive thought leader with ability to influence to action Proven developer of people Salary Range The salary range for this position is $121700.00 - $182700.00 / Annually.
