Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting retail, distribution, transmission, generation, and corporate stakeholders with insights gained from analyzing data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets and corresponding tooling to find opportunities for process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. The candidate must have experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building, and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations. The candidate must have a proven ability to drive business results with data-based insights coupled with a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

Responsibilities

 · Consults with stakeholders and functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

 · Supports, develops, and implements data driven solutions used to analyze data and generate useful business analytics.

 · Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.

 · Coordinates with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes

Develops processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

Skills and Requirements

· Experience working with and creating data architectures.

 · Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.), data mining techniques (GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.), and data analysis techniques (e.g., A/B testing, association rule learning, cluster analysis, pattern recognition and predictive modeling) and experience with their application.

 · Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc.

Experience with data analysis and visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, OBIEE · Experience using cloud-based analytics platforms such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory etc.

 · Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.

Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks. null
