POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for passionate candidates to join a multidisciplinary squad responsible for the evolution and maintenance of BDC’s Enterprise Service Management applications. As a Software Engineering Specialist, you will analyze, design, develop, secure, and maintain high-quality software (ServiceNow) to meet business and customer needs in an agile (scrum or Kanban) environment.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Develop a global understanding of bdc Enterprise Service Management (ServiceNow) including, but not limited to, IT Service Management, Procurement, Accounts Payable and Real-Estate & Facilities Management. Familiarize yourself with the short- and long-term business needs and guide stakeholders by offering them alternative solutions and bringing them awareness of the constraints of a complex system.
Participate in all phases of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC)
Design and implement technical solutions that conform both to customer requirements and established software development standards.
Deploy & maintain out-of-the-box modules, develop and evolve custom scoped applications running on the ServiceNow Platform.
Manage deployment of code between environments and coordinate releases to production according to internal change management procedure
Provide technical expertise for the management of all tiers of the application including Workflow Design (Flow Designer), Business Rules/UI Policies, Database Design and Management.
Demonstrate technical leadership, stay up to date on technology evolution in the market and identify opportunities of improvement in existing technology on a continuous basis.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Professional & Educational Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a ServiceNow Developer/Administrator, developing and maintaining secure and efficient solutions. Experience in functional analysis and requirements gathering is a plus.
A degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
Minimal competencies / Essential skills
Knowledge of a variety of Out-of-the-box ServiceNow Modules including, but not limited to, ITSM/ITOM & Workplace Service Delivery.
Certification in or equivalent knowledge of ITIL practices.
Knowledge of business processes pertaining to procurement, accounts payable and contract management activities, including lease management.
Excellent analysis, documentation and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual and excellent written and spoken competencies
Experience designing, documenting, developing, securing, and consuming APIs using technologies such as REST or SOAP.
Professionalism, thoroughness, attention to detail and strong work ethic
Integrity, honesty and transparency
Complementary skills
Mastery of programming best practices.
Excellent practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps
Practical experience with agile software development (Scrum, Kanban)
Experience upgrading ServiceNow application and Tools
