As a Test/Validation Engineer you will be partnering with design team to identify, evaluate, and validate new products, processes, or systems. This position is responsible for the validation and development of the tracks, roller, idlers, and sprockets for track-type construction equipment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Pre-test preparation, inspection, and instrumentation of components to collect desired data

  • Lab test development and execution to evaluate new products, processes, or systems

  • Analysis of test data and database maintenance

  • Document and communicate test results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units

  • Contribute to the design of new products and processes

  • Perform test equipment and procedure maintenance activities

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum, preferably Mechanical, Agricultural, Applied Mechanics, or Metallurgical Engineering

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of Engineering experience

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Prior test and product development experience

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, complemented by the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations

  • Ability to collect and efficiently organized detailed information

  • Strong computer and data analysis skills

  • Undercarriage or TTT design or development experience

  • Understanding of Caterpillar engineering drawings

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • High personal and professional ethics- Must be a self-starter that requires minimal supervision, anticipates issues, and takes appropriate action.

  • The ability to work or lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions
