Oracle Cloud Security Specialist in MUMBAI, India

Job Description

We are looking for a highly capable, self-motivated and independent Cloud Security Specialists based in India who will be part of central Security team providing Security services to our customers. Within the team you will play a critical role, introducing and promoting Security best practices throughout lifecycle of the project.

The right candidate should have a proven background in IT security, within modern cloud-based architecture and development environments.

The successful candidate will be a critical link between the IT Security and DevOps team. The candidate will be providing expertise and undertaking Security assessments on numerous projects, prioritizing and managing multiple projects at any one time. The candidate will work with the wider IT security team and engage their knowledge where appropriate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and develop Cloud Security requirements mapped to industry best standards.

  • Review and assess security hardening of cloud, hybrid and Enterprise applications using standard security tools and methodologies (e.g. Threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing)

  • Provide assessment of current Cloud Security status, Application Security status, Infrastructure Security Status

  • Interpret and advise on the results from security assessments to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Provide guidance and support to IT delivery teams thus ensuring that the delivery of a secure solution.

  • Collaborating with Technology teams

  • Interface between the development teams and relevant IT Security teams

  • Advise appropriate teams (IT Security, IT Risk) on residual risk on completion of projects.

  • Providing support for automated security tooling working with IT Security as necessary

  • Providing support and expertise across multiple DevOps teams

  • Maintain Platform stability.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:

  • Strong experience within IT and in particular proven IT Security and/or IT audit or controls experience

  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.

  • Demonstrable interest in Cloud IT Security

  • Experience working in IT Security or IT Audit related to Cloud environments.

  • Proven experience of motivating others to deliver exceptional performance and long terms results.

  • Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively.

  • Promoted and led best practice in risk and compliance management in a similar organization.

  • In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Security certifications preferred but equivalent knowledge will be considered.

  • Experience of IT architecture and how it fits together to deliver an enterprise IT System
