Engineer II - System Development
Description
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system requirements and specifications.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for system designs.
Develop and maintain system architecture, block diagrams, and schematics.
Create and execute test plans to validate system performance and reliability.
Conduct system integration and testing activities to ensure that all components work together as intended.
Troubleshoot system issues and work with other engineers to resolve technical problems.
Providing compliance with industry standards and regulations, in particular regarding functional safety and cyber security (e.g., eFLP, ASPICE, ISO26262 FuSa, ISO 21434 Cyber Security, IATF 16949).
Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory authorities on functional safety and cybersecurity-related matters.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
Develop and maintain project timelines and budgets.
Tracking and reporting domain specific project key performance indicators (KPIs)
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in system engineering in the automotive industry.
Preferably 2 years work experience in the field of system engineering or system architecture development as well as with Functional Safety and Cyber Security.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, including automotive embedded and electrical systems.
Proficiency in system engineering tools such as requirements management, simulation, and analysis software.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 26262, ISO 21434 and Automotive SPICE
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Experience with sensor systems for autonomous driving, project management and budgeting is a plus.
International experience preferred
Fluency in English is required
