We are currently recruiting for an Operations Coordinator for our Saint John, New Brunswick branch . The Operations Coordinator isresponsible for coordinating warehouse, inventory, and customer service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and project team with the rental of scaffold and motorized access equipment;

  • Discuss customer rental needs and suggest the safer and most suitable equipment for the application;

  • Take rental orders and complete all necessary paperwork required;

  • Prepare all required shipping paperwork including invoices and rental documents, and ensure freight charges are recorded for invoicing purposes;

  • Keep accurate rental data on contracts and customer files;

  • Assist in producing sales quotes and sales packages for retail sale of equipment;

  • Locate needed rental equipment if not available at branch location, sub-rent when necessary;

  • Responsible for inventory control by updating rental transactions and transfers as they occur;

  • Perform data and order entries;

  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including scaffolding inventory management, equipment maintenance efforts and customer service-related activities;

  • Schedule drivers and warehouse personnel;

  • Control, balance, and process inventory levels;

  • Provide for count accuracy of outbound/inbound shipments;

  • Provide for timely and accurate pickup and delivery of scaffolding inventory;

  • Schedule truck and fork truck fleet preventative maintenance and coordinate daily equipment checks;

  • Arrange hauling and negotiate rates with outside haulers if necessary;

  • Coordinate / dispatch truck drivers to ensure prompt delivery and pick up of rental equipment;

  • Maintain continuous contact with customers and field personnel to reconcile service requirements with available materials;

  • Collaborate with all sites to come up with realistic and efficient improvements regularly;

  • Assist site supervisors in day-to-day coordination and management of business operational activities

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Post-Secondary education is considered an asset;

  • 5 years of Operations experience;

  • Previous experience in the construction industry is considered an asset;

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; We require communication in English due to our multiple offices located outside New Brunswick;

  • Strong time management and organization skills in order to meet various competing deadlines;

  • Ability to self-motivate;

  • Ability to work within a team and build a positive team environment;

  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment with competing demands;

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion;

  • Ability to display sound and accurate judgment with the ability to resolve problems in a timely manner;

  • Background check required as a condition of employment.
