JPMorgan Chase Consumer and Business Intelligence - Product Director in New York, New York

As a Product Director, within our Consumer and Business Intelligence Team, you will lead a team of Product Managers and Data Scientists using cutting edge big data technologies and methods to develop impactful data products and features.

Job responsibilities

  • Create and maintaining a roadmap aimed at delivering high-impact insights to our internal and external clients when they need them

  • Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or creating new ones

  • Lead the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth

  • Be a trusted advisor and thought leader on business data and analytical techniques

  • Coach and mentor product managers and data scientists on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives

  • Own product performance and be accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives

  • Monitor market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications with a focus on delivering data products and/or direct data science experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant quantitative field required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Data Science fields)

  • Thought leader in data science and/or analytics who can help our internal clients define their business problems, create data products to address them, plan and execute the implementation

  • Experience across broad range of modern data science and analytics platforms, languages, and tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, R)

  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics and proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management

  • Experience leading teams with a proven track record of driving value for the business

  • Experience and impact change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Financial services or economics background preferred, but not required

  • Advanced degree in a related field
