Healthfirst Pharmacy Manager, Quality in New York, New York

Job Profile Summary

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for reviewing and addressing medication reconciliation processes for members at risk for preventable hospital admissions and potential readmissions. The Pharmacy Manager is also responsible for clinical oversight and management of departmental projects related to improving quality measures such as conducting comprehensive medication review through a hybrid MTM approach and supporting efforts to improve HEDIS and QARR measures as related to medication adherence and member behaviors.

Job DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities:

Knowledge of quality measures related to all lines of business (Medicaid, Medicare and QHP) that affect member health outcomes.Works with Pharmacy Directors and Senior Management to structure medication reconciliation processes to minimize member risk of hospitalizations and readmissions due to chronic disease.Works collaboratively with the clinical teams to strategically create on solutions and to improve quality measures.Provides support and/or oversight for all clinical aspects and programs of the pharmacy benefit.Build relationships with providers within our hospital network to ensure appropriate patient medication adherence and expected health outcomes.Additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed PharmacistPreferred Qualifications:

Pharmacy formulary experience within a managed care or PBM environment.Experience with PBM oversight, Medication Therapy Management and knowledge of State and Federal medication quality measurements and technical specifications.Outstanding communicator with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.Intermediate Skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint (creating presentations and slides), Excel, Access (creating databases), Visio (creating workflow charts) and Adobe Acrobat.

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $100,900 - $145,775

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $86,500 - $128,690

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
