Pay $77-82hr

Duration 6 months

Location -Remote

We are seeking a Senior Process Consultant: Process Improvement.

This position will play a key role in driving process improvement within the Project Management office, on projects. This position will lead problem framing/SIPOC and other tools to facilitate Business Cases for demand projects. In addition, focus on documenting current state and future state processes (where applicable). This individual will possess strong analytical, oral communication, people skills, and writing abilities. The primary responsibility will be to resolve process improvement opportunities and to help process owners identify root cause of issues and further opportunities for improvement within the impacted process. These opportunities should align with key business strategy. Establish a Framework for process improvement and identify the Process/sub-process inventory. Then to liaise with key personnel, such as Senior Leaders, from various parts of the organization to seek buy-in and support for these initiatives.

As such, the preferred candidate will be Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified, with a proven track record in process improvement. Ideal candidate will have experience in large transformation projects related to higher education, finance, CRM and/or HR. Specific experience in leading six sigma Improvement Initiatives is greatly desired. The candidate will also have knowledge and experience of other methodologies and frameworks, such as agile or waterfall implementations.

This person needs to have the ability to work independently (hands on role) and will have to work through others in the organization to succeed.

This position will:

Apply a structured methodology and lead process improvement activities

● Be the Process Lead on project within the PMO office.

● Lead problem framing/SIPOC and other tools to facilitate Business Cases for demand projects.

● Resolve process improvement opportunities and to help process owners identify root cause of issues and further opportunities for improvement within the impacted process.

● Identify, plan and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, scrap, rework, etc. resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.

● Complete process improvement projects within a specified time frame while achieving a cost reduction goal.

● Ensure projects are delivered on time

● Achieve buy-in from all decision makers for the successful application of performance excellence / performance improvement.

● Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in for initiatives

● Liaison with finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the financial benefit of project.

● Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives.

Additional responsibilities may include:

● Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics

● Identify and manage anticipated resistance

● Consult and coach project teams

● Coordinate efforts with other specialists

● Track and report issues

● Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
