Job Description: Acting as the interface between the client and the earthworks design teams. Coordinating between ground investigation assurance team and earthworks design teams. Coordination of earthworks instrumentation and monitoring work. Coordination with the client for efficient and collaborative delivery through close relationships. Construction inspection and deformation monitoring evaluations to ensure conformance to the design specifications. Coordination of the soil testing for all assets. Analyzing all available geotechnical data including laboratory results, site test results and boreholes. Evaluation of all laboratory results for embankment and structure areas. Evaluations of borehole and cone penetration test data and geotechnical interpretation of infrastructure projects. Evaluating the available geotechnical data, preparing a schedule for the new site investigation, creating the geological profile of the alignment, assessing the risk situation of the buildings on the underground metro line and providing geotechnical support. Oversee total soil testing laboratory functions by coaching and leading a team of engineers and soil technicians. Headed recruitment and interviewing functions for all team members to boost operational productivity. Direct procurement, establishment, and calibration functions to assure the attainment of set objectives. Supervise site inspection, soil testing, geotechnical assessment, and soil cement mix design creation activities. Evaluate and analyse quality control processes as well as laboratory testing procedures. Assessed total construction operations including soil enhancement, sub-base drainage systems, engineering fill, and cement-treated soil construction. Administer compaction control system (CCC) as engineering fill quality control method as well as cone penetration test, dynamic cone penetration, static plate load, and lightweight dynamic plate load testing. Airport runways and aprons flexible and rigid pavement and subbase, base course layers construction management according to FAA requirements. Directing assessment tools including inclinometer and magnetic settlement columns. Oversee field direct shear and big-scale field Oedometer testing to assure compliance with set standards. Coordinating soil improvement construction activities including deep dynamic compaction, jet grouting, piles, soil nails, concrete columns, cement-modified soil and diaphragm walls for metro station top and down construction.Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related engineering field and 5 years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained.Special Requirements: Position requires 5 years of related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Inspection and supporting activities for Runways and Aprons- flexible and rigid pavement and sub-base, base course layers construction according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements; Management of the procurement and establishment of site and mobile laboratories, including all calibration and maintenance functions; Calibration and establishment of continuous compaction control (CCC) system for engineering fill quality control method; Design and field coordination in soil improvement methods for infrastructure construction activities including deep dynamic compaction, jet grouting, piles, soil nails, concrete columns, cement-modified soil and diaphragm walls; Assess the risk situation of buildings on the metro line alignment by providing geotechnical support, preparing a schedule for the new site investigation, and creating a geological profile of the alignment by using Plaxis and AutoCAD Civil 3D software; Acquisition of and processing of post-construction monitoring data from settlement column and inclinometers to verify compliance to the geotechnical design assumptions using geotechnical software such as RST lnclinalysis Digital Inclinometer; and Evaluating the available geotechnical data assessing the risk situation of the structures using CPeT-IT v.3.0 - CPT interpretation software, Rocscience software and Slide slope stability analysis software.

Minimum Salary: 126,714 Maximum Salary: 156,714 Salary Unit: Yearly
