Role Overview:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Electrical Engineering Knowledge - working in Rail Production environment is must.

  • Experience in writing layout of harness as work instructions for Rail customer – How to route the electrical cables along with What to manufacture.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Product Management, and other groups to plan, research, gather required technical data.

  • Identify and develop a build sequence.

  • Create and/or revise technical work instructions related to various maintenance functions including assembly/disassembly, repair/cleaning/inspection of a product.

  • Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.

  • Identify problem areas on maintenance methodologies and proactively contribute to their improvement.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.

  • Prior experience in writing technical documentation is preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.

  • Very strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including willingness and ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management.

  • Desire and ability to innovate and improve upon current processes.

Good working knowledge on MS office tools.
