Assist the Manufacturing Operations department in successfully achieving manufacturing goals and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will receive assignments from the Manager of Manufacturing, or an assigned representative, and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Support production of fabrication and welding processes

  • Support processes with troubleshoot automation

  • Able to develop work instructions

  • Engage employees to problem solve issues

  • Perform time studies

  • Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality

  • Manage project work assigned by the manager

  • Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling

  • Assist with plant layout and workstation design

  • Learn and use ERP (JDE) manufacturing software

  • Interests will include manufacturing, welding, robotics, and fabrication

  • All other duties or projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Welding Engineering Technology, Industrial, Mechanical, or other related Engineering field

  • Graduation date of May 2025 or later

  • Willing to relocate or travel toOshkosh, WI for duration of the year-round internship

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge or exposure to JD Edwards

  • Exposure to Lean concepts

  • Experience in manufacturing fabrication

  • Experience in robotics

  • Experience with Excel

  • Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts
