Caterpillar’s Resource Industries Sales, Services & Technology Division (RISST), has an open Accountant position for the Caterpillar Solutions & Services (CS&S) product group. CS&S is comprised of Job Site Solutions and Safety Services and leverages the power of data, people and process of the extended Caterpillar enterprise to deliver outcome-based site solutions and services direct to customer.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting for the CS&S department as directed by management.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the financial forecasting and analysis for the CS&S product group. Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use and presenting to leadership to help drive informed decisions of the business.

  • Support monthly legal entity and accountable financial closing tasks while maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards including supporting a strong compliance culture.

  • Lead investment and benefit analysis and reporting of the department’s OPACC Improvement Agenda items

  • Be a trusted business partner to the CAT Solutions & Services business leaders.

  • Create and utilize automated tools to drive efficiency to support scale of the business functions and accurate financial results.

What Skills & Experiences You Will Need:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in – Accounting or Finance , and 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Managing Multiple Priorities : Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: constantly observing your environment, assessing the effects of changes, and determining how to adapt to them.

Additional Info :

  • This position can be located in Peoria, IL or Tucson, AZ

  • This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office

  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

  • Sponsorship is not available

  • International and Domestic travel up to 5%
