Caterpillar is seeking a Paralegal to support its legal data privacy team. The team provides legal support for data privacy issues, including supporting Caterpillar’s privacy compliance activities and supporting Caterpillar business leaders in the identification and resolution of privacy issues. Matters handled by the team may include analyzing potential data breach incidents and supporting, evaluating and providing advice around changes in laws, changes in technology and changes in business processes.
The Paralegal would interact with internal business partners, outside counsel and experts. Typical job duties include matter intake and administration; performing legal research, organizing and tracking legal requirements, development of data privacy compliance tools (e.g., guidelines, templates, FAQs) and participating in data privacy projects.The successful candidate will also assist others in finding, using and applying these tools (e.g., form contract language and templates); facilitating meetings; and preparing summaries, reports and presentations.
The position will assist in preparation for meetings with senior leaders on status updates.The position collaborates on budget and outside counsel management.

Strong skills with Microsoft Officesuite of products;
Experience with legal documentmanagement and matter management software;

Strong written and verbalcommunications skills and personal accountability;
An eagerness to contribute to thecreation of a high-performing team;
Bachelor’s Degree in paralegalstudies (or Bachelor’s Degree with paralegal certificate); and
3-5 years paralegal experience.
