Manual Machine Operator

Peoria, IL

Pay: $22- $26hr

Full-time- First Shift

Aerotek is now hiring a manual machine operator to operate equipment for machining and fabrication in the manufacturing field in Peoria, IL!

Description:

• Operate manual machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and press brakes

• Read and interpret fabrication blueprints and drawings

• Use gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements

• Perform routine maintenance on machine tools and equipment daily

• Utilize equipment including vertical milling machines, horizontal bandsaws, drill presses, hydraulic tube benders, hydraulic presses, and lathes

• Set up machines and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling

• Coordinate with engineering department and production team lead

• Utilize machining knowledge to provide budgetary labor estimates on work pieces

• Follow all safety rules and regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with machining tools and equipment

• Experience working with manual machines preferred

• High attention to detail

• High School Diploma or GED

• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs
