Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity as a leader in our Global Finance Talent Acquisition organization.

In this role, you will lead a team of recruiting professionals within a global business function to deliver value to the business by developing and executing the strategy to attract finance talent of the future. You will work closely with the Global Finance Org & Talent Manager to ensure the adoption of leading talent acquisition practices to deliver business goals, create stakeholder value, and achieve profitable growth using previous experiences, benchmarking and industry standards to design a best-in-class process.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting business leaders in attracting and hiring qualified, diverse and best-in-class talent through innovative​ talent acquisition strategies using sound knowledge, consultation and influencing skills - ensuring workflow is efficient, lean, and minimizes risk to the company.

  • Executing talent acquisition strategy that drives value to the business by having the right talent, ensuring that applicant flow is diverse, and all required processes are executed effectively.

  • Leading a team focused on sourcing top talent from within and outside Caterpillar and participating in a community of practice on global talent acquisition processes, metrics, compliance, and more.

  • Serving as the lead voice within the Global Finance function talent team – partnering with key customers to understand the business’ recruiting needs. Partner with leaders to identify key talent risk areas and develop appropriate talent pipeline strategy (internal and external).

  • Providing learning opportunities for leaders on recruiting best practices, interviewing techniques, candidate selection, compensation considerations, and employee onboarding as well as enhancing an employment brand strategy for finance which includes opportunities for leaders to be talent scouts.

  • Designing and managing the early talent strategy – including the intern program- to foster strong collegiate relationships alongside the business. This includes the strategic selection of campus-driven recruiting events, case studies as part of collegiate curriculum, and other special hiring initiatives that are meaningful to that community.

  • Steward accurate metrics and analytics – ensuring that we are leveraging data driven insights to make decisions in our talent acquisition business. Advice, recommend and structure project work related to the business through data-driven insights that are developed and maintained with intentional discipline and thought leadership.

Serve to manage the day-to-day performance, development, and engagement of team members, providing coaching and training to enable them to succeed in an empowered environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • College or University degree

  • 5 to 7 years of HR or related experience, with talent acquisition and recruiting experience strongly preferred

Desired Qualifications:

Previous relevant experience within recruitment (inhouse or agency background) to include:

  • Relationship Management with capability to manage multiple internal customers with ease

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and drive strategy for the recruiting team and drive outcomes for our business partners

  • Ability to analyze and bring insights from data

  • Strong perspective on talent acquisition strategies at all levels of the organization
