AI Integration Engineer Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is a national law firm with a proven reputation for providing progressive, industry-leading legal, business, regulatory and government relations advice to our regional, national and international clients. We are currently searching for an AI Integration Engineer to join our Pittsburgh, PA office. The AI Integration Engineer will be focused on helping Buchanan develop and implement the core technology to support Buchanan's AI platform (Artifex) and specific AI point solutions. You will work on a wide range of AI related initiatives including supporting and developing the Firm's generative AI environment, leading the development of business facing AI web services and applications, supporting the integration AI with data analytics and robotic process automation, and supporting cutting-edge AI research and development. In this position, you will: •    Lead the development and delivery of Buchanan Artifex, the firm's generative AI platform. •    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of AI driven solutions across the firm. •    Develop optimized scalable vector databases to support return augmented generation in AI. •    Develop tools that interface with and processes output from cloud APIs. •    Design and implement AI safety controls at the web application and API layer working closely with security. •    Design and build fault-tolerant scalable infrastructure to support long-running large-scale AI tasks reliably despite failure of individual nodes. •    Design and build infrastructure for serving large AI models such as LLMs in our private cloud environment. •    Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets •    Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital adoption platforms and AI technology. Successful candidates will have: •    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a technical field is preferred. •    Minimum five years of recent experience designing and building web, automation and/or AI solutions to address business needs. •    Strong knowledge of generative AI principles and AI prompt structure. •    Firm understanding of UX principles and web design programming languages; HTML, CSS, Node JS, React, JavaScript and/or TypeScript, Python, Perl, etc. •    Ability to effectively manage, maintain and scale Docker containers and Linux hosts. •    Ability to use Azure DevOps Repos for source control and deployment of all code projects. •    Ability to understand technical possibilities and limitations of AI platforms and to explain complicated technical concepts to non-technical audiences. •    Experience working in a deadline-driven environment and multitask/prioritize a workload of competing priorities. •    Experience collaborating cross-functionally to create alignment and support; ability to independently manage several projects simultaneously and operate under tight deadlines; background in organizational change management is a plus Why should you work at Buchanan?
