"Job#: 2025863  Job Description:  Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITEfor a Logistics Engineer our client based out of Macungie, PA.This assignment is anticipated to be a 12 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.Responsibilities:Design internal and external logistics processes that utilize lean manufacturing concepts and engage stakeholders through explanation of facts, requirements and best practicesDefine strategies to optimize procedures, minimize wastes, drive problem solving, and decrease logistics costsImplement future material handling flows and all supporting physical and electronic processes and documentationCreate process standardizations, operator expectations, material disbursement routes, and related KPI/PIs supporting Material Availability at Point of UseStrong data purification and analysis skills; must be able to make data driven decisions and influenceDeliver station designs that comply with internal flow strategies working with cross functional team members on the factory or warehouse floorHave an understanding of logistics packaging, inventory volumes, and how it impacts supply chain and material handlingHelp create a facility that is founded on a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) station layout with just-in-time deliveriesAbility to work with component suppliers to communicate adherence of Logistics requirements upon good receiving inventory shipments.
