Eaton Corporation Energy Category Analyst - Indirect Procurement in Pune, India

What you’ll do:

This position will report into our Global Supply Chain Management Organization. This position is based in Pune, India, but will have Global responsibilities including, U.S. (incl. Mexico), Europe, APAC and SA Brazil operations. Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain organization incumbent will be reporting to Global Energy Manager located in U.S. supporting the development and deployment of the world class Energy Management program(s), including both supply and demand-side energy management practices. In this role, incumbent will drive towards optimal conditions focused on (cost out, environmental emission reductions, business continuity, and renewable energy) for energy demand management, strategic initiatives/programs and efficiencies can be identified.

"•Drive Continuous Improvement & Cost Out – Energy Engineering principles based on sourcing, demand management and renewable projects, plus on green energy sourcing/tariff and EAC's (GHG) Greenhouse Gas management, and energy category initiatives.

•Identify and deploy Best Practices pertaining to energy management and energy payment process improvements.

•Engage with plant and business units supporting and resolving energy inquiries as part of core support to stakeholders.

•Support energy management practices to drive efficiencies.

•Preferred experience with ISO50001 Energy Management standards or Better Plants programs.

•Energy Procurement experience in variety energy markets sourcing both electricity, natural gas and industrial gases

•Manage projects in Eaton Savings platforms (Costverse), responsibilities include managing project updates, reporting and corrective actions as needed.

•Develop metric to track and record measurable statistics that impact business unit such as spend, spend under management, cost savings, cost avoidance, total cost of ownership, supplier performance, stakeholder satisfaction and other specific commodity measurements.

•Develop strong positive ethical relationships with suppliers & adhere to Eaton’s Code of Conduct.

•Ensure the monthly reporting/BSC update on time."

Qualifications:

"•Bachelors in Engineering OR Supply Chain Management (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical or Four-Year Engineering discipline)

•Candidates must be available to work later hours to support U.S. time zone stakeholders."

"•7-10 years in Supply Chain Management.

•3-5 years experience with energy management (supply, demand-side or renewables)

•3-5 years prior experience with industrial gas contracting Industrial operations experience required with site, BU and/or corporate experience preferred

•Prior project management experience of cross-functional teams

•Knowledge of the energy industry, North America including Mexico would be a plus.

•Demonstrates knowledge and experience in successfully deploying category strategies and driving cost-out initiatives

•Creative thinking skills to produce and promote new programs in category management and implement emerging tools"

Skills:

Certification- Professional CEM, CEP or equivalent certification preferred but not mandatory. Excellent knowledge with MS office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project)
