What will you do:

  • Liaise with the operation team as a design engineer representative for new product introduction and current production engineering changes.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively in English with global engineering teams.

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve problems independently or as part of a team.

  • Provide engineering support and high-quality advice to purchasing, quality, fabrication, assembly, and testing teams.

  • Facilitate or contribute to Collaborative Product and Process Development (CPPD).

  • Respond in a timely manner to engineering challenges that could impact safety, throughput time, and product shipment.

Education and Experience Requirement:

Bachelor/master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive)

What You Will Have:

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis

  • Ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Ability to analyze products design and technical documentation of the products to understand key requirements.

  • Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

  • Knowledge in target costing and product cost management

  • Ability to use Office 360, Creo, Team Center, Vis-Mock up, GD&T

  • Solid ability to use and demonstrate statistical and problem-solving tools.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques

  • Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Ability to communicate technical information in Thai and English

  • Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative working relationship with others inside and outside of Caterpillar
