Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dur Hospitality Company SJSC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Event Booking Center (EBC) Manager at Marriott Hotel is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the Event Booking Center. This role involves ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients, managing event booking and coordination, and driving business growth by fostering strong relationships with clients. The EBC Manager will lead a team of professionals to deliver high-quality experiences that align with Marriott's standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Event Booking Center.

  • Ensure all booking processes and services meet Marriott's standards and client expectations.

  • Implement and maintain efficient workflows and processes.

  • Manage the scheduling and coordination of events and meetings.

2. Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

  • Understand client needs and tailor services to meet their requirements.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients before, during, and after event bookings.

  • Handle client feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

3. Event Booking and Coordination:

  • Lead the booking and coordination of events, including meetings, conferences, and special events.

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure seamless event delivery.

  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Ensure all events are booked and executed within budget and meet quality standards.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor the EBC team, providing guidance and support.

  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Ensure staff are trained and knowledgeable about Marriott's service standards and offerings.

5. Sales and Marketing:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new business and retain existing clients.

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote EBC services.

  • Participate in sales presentations and client pitches.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

6. Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the EBC budget.

  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures.

  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts.

  • Ensure accurate billing and invoicing for all services provided

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, hospitality, or a similar role.

  • Proven track record of managing event bookings and delivering exceptional client service.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.

  • Knowledge of Marriott brand standards and services is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
