Kimley-Horn Civil Analyst - Aviation in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Overview

Kimley-Horn's Twin Cities office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 1+ years of experience to join their Aviation team.

As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and design of airport projects including design and development of infrastructure such as roads, buildings, and underground utility systems.

  • Support aviation construction projects as the project representative for design

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client staff, contractors, and others encountered in the course of work.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of prior general Civil Engineering, Municipal Engineering, Site Development or Aviation Engineering experience working within a professional design firm.

  • Bachelors from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering

  • "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

  • Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, and/or GIS

  • Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment

  • Ability to work independently and as a team

Aviation experience is not required.
