Responsibilities for an IT Intern may include one or more of the following:
Assist IT in ensuring a functional computer/phone network and related hardware.
Provide support to end-users to ensure timely resolution to computer issues while providing exceptional customer service.
Assist IT in installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, cleaning, and upgrading all corporate hardware, software and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance.
Assist with daily disaster recovery/backup processes and document activities.
Assists in establishing new user accounts and configuring their appropriate hardware/software prior to start date with the company.
Assist with personnel desk moves by relocating computer equipment and/or phones
Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software problems in a timely fashion and documenting resolution steps.
Assist in providing end-user training, support and assistance where required.
Assist in keeping accurate records of maintenance, installation, and licensing documentation.
Assist in providing support to executive staff as needed.
Be able to be flexible and assist with occasional preplanned system upgrades normally scheduled during night shifts or non-peak use periods.
Other general office or clerical duties as assigned.
Occasionally lift items weighing around 50 lbs
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
In the process of pursuing a Technical College degree or certificate and/or specialized IT training.
The ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Detail oriented, with exceptional problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
The ability to work well with others and be diplomatic and persuasive.
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
Exceptional phone presence with pleasant personality and neat appearance.
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to maintain confidentiality.
