Basic Purpose:

  • The Head of Real Estate & Workplace APAC is end-to-end accountable to execute global real estate and workplace strategy, priorities and targets for regions and sites (including translation of the global strategy into regional action plans).

  • Acting as the single point of contact regarding all lease and property related topics in the region for the GFE Organization and the local businesses.

  • End-to-end accountability to safeguarding effective solution delivery and performance management for Regional Real Estate & Workplace Management. This includes

1) Translating global processes and guidelines into regional specifics

2) Responsibility for execution of selected services across sites/countries within regional cluster.

  • The Head of Real Estate & Workplace (Region) ensures:

1) Steering of one regional RE & Workplace organization.

2) Standardization and improvement of process and service efficiency and quality regarding real estate & workplace solutions and their implementation.

3) Sharing necessary knowledge and lessons learned.

4) Organize team and skills efficiently to support sites with high quality services (internal & external teams).

5) Ensure governance / compliance to local and site-specific regulations and ensuring the company's reputation.

6) Contract vendor management (escalation level, order management, addendums or change requests to the contract in alignment with global standards and alignment with other functions)- Reliable budget planning process by delivering relevant data and insights.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains regional and local business as well as external stakeholder relationships (e.g. service providers, landlords, etc.)

  • Risk identification & mitigation measures Reporting to Regional Head of RE&FM

  • Developing real estate solutions based on global portfolio strategies and deliver transaction management / implementation of agreed asset plans

  • Supporting global RE&FM with regional knowledge and insights in M&A / Carve-out activities - per request

  • Manage real estate related queries and problems Exchange and alignment with FM Solution Manager Property/Site Manager/POC

  • Translates and adapts Global Workplace & Project management standards into regional workplace solutions, including alignment with stakeholders (HR, IT)

  • Implement and manage contracts from regional perspective Supporting global RE Vendor Manager in conception and selection processes for Real Estate, Workplace & Project management suppliers/ consultants Contract lifecycle management- performance measurement (SLA and KPI tracking on regional level, budget monitoring, feedback gathering)Supplier Relationship ManagementSteady evaluation and optimization of supplier landscape and service (e.g., assessments).

Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of practical experience within Real Estate (transactions, financial, legal, strategic, etc.) positions as well as experienced in leadership (e.g. reviewing).

  • Experience in international / region specific Real Estate projects incl. CapEx projects (time, cost, quality, budget adhered to)- Proven track record in a regional (or global) environment (incl different cultures), preferable with working. experience in at least two different countries- Proven track record of education and experience in Real Estate.

  • Very good knowledge of Real Estate market mechanism (especially Corporate Real Estate, Leasing & Investment, and Asset Management, Workplace, Design & Project Management).

  • Minimum Education/Degree Requirements

Bachelor degree and education or similar within Economics or Legal or completed commercial education with in-service training in the field of Real Estate management, Architecture, Project / Construction Management, or Workplace & Design.
