The position

Equinor Asset Management AS (EAM) is a fund management company under Finanstilsynet’s supervision. EAM is 100% owned subsidiary of Equinor ASA, and has more than NOK 120 bn. under management, invested in securities globally. The company currently has 18 employees, all based in Stavanger. You can find more information about the company at equinorfondene.no .

Equinor Asset Management is seeking a dedicated Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), which is the company’s independent, legally mandated compliance function. • The compliance function shall maintain a monitoring programme that takes into consideration all areas of the investment firm’s investment services, activities and any relevant ancillary services.

  • Regular compliance reports should be sent to the Board of Directors.

  • The compliance function shall fulfil its advisory responsibility.

This is an exciting opportunity to join EAM and develop the role further. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the CEO and the leadership team on strategic initiatives and developments for the company.

As EAM is a small organization, and there is flexibility to take on additional tasks beyond the compliance role, provided that there are no conflicts of interest. The nature of these tasks will depend on the employee's individual interests and prior experiences, making the role both varied and exciting.
