Full-time position following a school year schedule supporting secondary grade level (9-12) students with behavioral needs for specialized education program in Sunbury. Position will work as part of a program support team with the clinical coordinator, teachers, social workers, para-educators and the program supervisor. This position is located at the 801 Susquehanna Ave, Sunbury, PA 17801.  The anticipated start date is August 6, 2024.

 

Hourly wage:  $17.25 -- 24.00 hour as full-time non-exempt position following a 185-day school year schedule.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options.

 

Education and skills required:

  • An Associate's degree or a High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED) and a minimum of 60 credits in related studies with minimum two (2) years' experience in social services environment will be considered. A Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Evidence of mature and conscientious adult behavior, a serious interest in and solicitude for the general welfare of the exceptional child is expected.
  • Ability to communicate verbally, ability to establish and maintain positive working relationship with staff, ability to be flexible in adapting to various student schedules, and the ability to adapt to various student behavioral needs are required.
