Description

· Implements and improves testing, development and validation techniques, processes, tooling and machinery to maximize product quality.

· Resolving issues regarding the design or manufacturing. Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.

· Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.

· Planning and improving testing procedures and operations to make the test more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.

· Monitoring results, machine and process capabilities and performance reliability.

· Keep up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques.

· Undertake physical machine test to verify design works as intended

· Provide input to DFMEA (Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis) activity with the wider design team.

· Take part in design reviews with the wider design team.

· Take part in the closure of reliability issues found during NPI test and validation.

· Take part in Current Product Improvement (CPI) projects and drive to resolution.

· Function in a shop and assembly environment for testing and troubleshooting on machines.

Basic Qualifications

· Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum.

· 810 years of relevant industry experience (Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment, Automotive)

· Experience in multiple New Product Introduction Projects.

· Experience in prototype machine build and capturing the issues / learnings

· Experience in conducting the tests as per validation plan, data collection and analysis.

· Experience in machine troubleshooting while testing.

· Experience in usage of problem-solving techniques.

· Expertise in test data documentation and presentation of test reports

Top Candidates will also have

· Ability to work flexibly across time zones with cross functional, multi-cultural teams

· Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks

· Experience with Project Management for testing.

· Experience with machine operation and functions.
