TIOGA MEDICAL CENTER (TMC) Clinic Manager in TIOGA, North Dakota

Minimum requirements include the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 3 years of healthcare experience.

or

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN/RN school.
  • Active LPN or RN license in good standing with the State of North Dakota.
  • 3 years of healthcare experience.

Position Type: Full-Time Exempt (Monday - Friday) Remote: No

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Schedules physicians/PAs/NPs, nursing personnel, and reception in each of TMCs clinics in coordination with COO provider Call Schedule.
  2. Creates, manages, and monitors providers schedules in EPIC.
  3. Oversees chart review and quality assurance.
  4. Provides orientation to the facility for visiting physicians and medical students when needed.
  5. Sets up new providers on ePrescribe and EVERS (for death certificates).
  6. Ensures compliance with requirements of 42 CFR 405 and 491 and have all documentation prepared for NDDOH state survey every 5 to 7 years for each clinic.
  7. Actively participates in Emergency Planning.
  8. Holds regular clinic staff meetings to discuss new policies/procedures/concerns/etc.
  9. Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, coaches, evaluates, rewards, disciplines, and when necessary, terminates employees reporting to this position.
  10. Completes annual evaluations for clinic nurses, clinic CNAs and reception staff.
  11. Brings any problems/concerns to the attention of Tioga Medical Center's CEO/COO/CFO as appropriate.
  12. Assists other staff as needed within his/her scope of practice.
  13. Schedules visiting specialists who come to TMC clinic regularly and assist obtaining number of patients seen each month for quality reporting.
  14. Sees that all employees of the TMC-Clinic adhere to OSHA guidelines for infection control. Ensures proper equipment is available to follow these procedures
  15. Ensures that annual calibrations are completed on all necessary equipment.
  16. Coordinates Long Term Care rounds for appointed physician one clinic day each month with LTC DON.
  17. Addresses patient concerns and complaints and makes corrective actions to prevent further grievances. When appropriate or when unable to resolve patient concerns, involve CEO/COO/CFO to resolve.
  18. Acts as a liaison between clinic and ancillary departments.
  19. Attends Department Head, Medical Staff, and other meetings as requested by the CEO.
  20. May be required to travel to attend work-related meetings and educational opportunities.
  21. Performs all duties or tasks requested by the CEO.

  1. Treats all residents and patients with dignity and respect. Promotes and protects all residents and patients rights.
  2. Establishes a culture of compliance by adhering to all facility policies and procedures. Complies with standards of business conduct, and state/federal regulations and guidelines.
  3. Follows appropriate safety and hygiene measures at all times to protect residents, patients, and themselves.
  4. Maintains confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written, and electronic communications.
  5. Reports noncompliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or breaches in confidentiality to appropriate personnel. Reports any retaliation or discrimination to HR or CEO.
  6. Reports any allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property, exploitation, or mistreatment of residents to supervisor and/or administrator. Protects residents and patients from abuse and cooperates with all investigations.
  7. Reports any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and/or hazardous chemicals in accordance with facility policy.
  8. Participates in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings. Fulfills responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation of the facilitys emergency plan.
  9. Reports work-related injuries and illnesses immediately to supe visor.
  10. Follows established infection control policies and procedures.
  11. As a condition of employment, completes all assigned training and skills competency.

  6. Must have considerable initiative and judgment in assigning tasks, delegating responsibility, resolving operational problems, and handling grievances of employees and other personnel.
  7. If a nurse - Must have the knowledge, skills, and abilities as required by Tioga Medical Centers Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse job description.
  8. Must not pose a threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
  9. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  10. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk while working on a computer.
  11. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position.
  12. If a nurse - Must have good hand dexterity to perform such functions as administering injections, inserting catheters, administering IV solutions, administering oral medications and perform CPR.
  13. Meets general health requirements according to facility policy, including medical and physical exams and checking immunity status to various infectious diseases.
  14. Ability to assist in evacuation of residents and patients during emergency situations.
  15. May be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases and/or conditions which include AIDS, Coronavirus, Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis.
  16. May be subject to hostile or emotional residents, patients, family members, visitors or personnel.
  17. Intermediate computer skills, including ability to create documents in various programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Adobe), and navigate electronic medical record systems.
  18. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  19. Works in well-lit, ventilated area.
  20. Subject to frequent interruptions.
  21. Communicates with medical and nursing staff, and other departments.
  22. Subject to call-back during emergency conditions.
