SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Marketing Associate is a key staff member responsible for organizing and trafficking print, digital tangible advertising placement and support for the Kimber MARCOM Department. The marketing associate is critical to aiding in the development of digital marketing content for social media and event support. cognition and market share. This role calls for a highly energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, innovative, and dynamic environment. The Marketing associate must take the initiative in both advertising and promotional opportunities. Plus, this individual will work in concert with cross-functional teams such as product development and customer service as well as engineering, events management, and production to provide support in achieving key performance indicators defined by Kimber leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with marketing, product management, sales, channel management, and other key leaders to develop and execute integrated marketing and communication support for new and existing products to maximize long term sales and profit.

  • Creates regular support schedule for advertising with 3rd party vendors as well as distribution supply chain.

  • Works cooperatively with the product management team to anticipate and plan product launches.

  • Executes social media strategies in support of brand messaging while reporting on performance metrics and established KPI’s.

  • Trouble shoot various problems and develop corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Understand/ learn the nature and functionality of the company’s products.

  • Cooperate with the Kimber E-Commerce manager in establishing regular reporting paths to the company performance metric dashboard that conveys progress within projects and within the department.

  • Coordinate influencer product movement and returns

  • Support roles for special events, Shows and visits.

  • Develop training presentations for dealers and distributors

  • Complete other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrable ability to build consensus among a broad constituency.

  • Understand the functional requirements of managing cross platform communications disciplines including print, broadcast, digital, and email.

  • Proven track record of successfully achieving and exceeding organizational goals and objectives

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strong desire for initiative and constant improvement

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written with an emphasis on proofreading, fact checking and price clarification.

  • Knowledge of firearms; quality, features, safety, category etc.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (word and excel)

  • Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast work environment that has the potential to change due to regulatory and business needs.

  • Need to be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task.

  • Experience working independently with little supervision and process work tasks into project management software.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field

Preferred:

  • Shooting sports and outdoor industry experience preferred but not required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality performance reports and create solutions. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

This position requires various reasoning abilities in order to be successful such as:

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Ability to perform complex and varied tasks.

  • Ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks for an extended period of time.

COMPUTER SKILLS

The Marketing Associate will be required to have a base knowledge of operating Microsoft Office suite including MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Outlook using MS Office Windows platform. They must also be prepared to support the MARCOM team who utilizes Trello project management software as well as Klaivyo E-Commerce software.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position may require travel occasionally up to 15% travel to consumer events, tradeshows and store openings.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.

This position requires compliance with ITAR requirement. Must be a “U.S. Person” (per ITAR 120.15) and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.
