Your new role - exciting and future-oriented:

  • Conduct engineering studies and design calculations for steam turbine components, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency.

  • Develop and refine turbine repair methodologies and provide field and operational troubleshooting support.

  • Technical support to field services and assist customers with forced outage recovery, root cause analysis, and lifetime extension studies.

  • Engage with the global engineering network- collaborating with experts, participating in reviews, exploring solutions, and integrating feedback.

  • Development and release of product definition documents for field implementation, including graphics, bill of materials, and manufacturing process requirements.

  • The role is not limited to a mechanical calculation; it involves a thorough engagement with every aspect of steam turbine design.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 8 to 15 years of engineering experience, preferably in Steam/Gas Turbine or any other rotating equipment.

  • Strong theoretical fundamentals in various failure mechanisms like Creep, Fatigue, Plastic failure etc.

  • Significant hands-on experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of high pressure and high temperature stationary and rotating components.

  • Knowledge of any FEA software (preferably ANSYS or ABAQUS).

  • Knowledge of thermodynamics and Steam turbine blading.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or direction.

  • Ability to coordinate directly with customers, field services, factory, and management.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions on a regular basis.

  • Ability to manage multiple field issues / projects and deadlines.

  • Flexibility to travel as required by the projects and customers.

  • Familiarity with steam turbine products or repair methods for major components is an added advantage.
