JOB DUTIES:

Responsiblefor performing work to achieve corporate supply chain performance targetsfocused on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns and improved order-to-deliveryresults.

The incumbent is a key team member working on the deployment of the SupplyChain Planning Process, which develops the Plan for Every Part and Supply Chain Planning Parameters for afacility.

Incumbent is required to work effectively with diverse, multi-functional teamsin order to apply the supply chain planning process and lead team efforts todevelop lean material flow plans for a facility, which may include implementingchanges to factory floor layout and material presentation at the point ofuse.

Incumbent gathers and analyzes data on facility demand and demand variabilityfor each part required for production based on daily demand buckets for 120work days. This role gathers and analyzes data about supplier shippingperformance and variability % for each part number (both Time and Qty). Thisposition leads continuous improvementprojects to support Integrated Value Chain programs . Incumbent represents the material requirements teamthrough the change board process and CCPD meetings. This positionleads the work of Supply Chain Planning Analysts in the documentation of thisdata into the Plan for Every Part web tool.

The incumbent is responsible for creatingthe supply chain planning parameters for all new part numbers and maintainingthe planning parameters to account for variation of supply, seasonality ofvolume, and supporting flex funnel targets.

The incumbent is a key team member, and will be called upon to lead deploymentteams, in the execution of New ProductIntroduction i n a plant. This work involves using materialreplenishment analytical tools, establishing and sizing material strategies , working with integrated systems, enhancingcommunications throughout a material flowpath, and working with materialhandlers and other factory personnel to drive common replenishment processes ina plant.

This position performs physical, tactical work across multiple functions tomake improvements required to attain MQ or other like Certification for a Facility.

The incumbent performs physical, tactical work to reduce / eliminate supplychain constraints at both the facility and value stream level, working with across-functional team of personnel.

Minimal travel required (5% - 15% working time)

POSITION IMPACTS:

Incumbentis responsible to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets, includingimprovements in Order-to-Delivery time, inventory levels / turns, MQCertification requirements and supply chain assessments for a facility.

Qualifications

JOBREQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience and knowledge of lean concepts and tools.

  • Experience and knowledge about CPS supply chain principles, specifically those applied to pull replenishment using material replenishment tools and processes, Supply Chain Planning analytical tools, material flow and throughput efficiency

  • Strong understanding and previous experience using common supply chain systems.

  • Knowledge of and / or experience deploying using 6Sigma Project Management principles.

  • Must possess leadership skills to effectively lead supply chain improvements making the best use of available resources, while maintaining strong people focus and fulfilling the responsibilities for leading people.

  • Must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to drive common supply chain processes across multiple departments within a business division.

  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve complex problems.

  • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and solid product knowledge

  • Must be able to design and deploy lean systems in a highly productive environment with minimal disruption to daily requirements

  • Qualification as a CPS Support Team Leader

  • CPS Functional Job Role Qualified

  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification highly desired.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office required.

  • Experience with change management highly desired.

  • Experience with NPI highly desired.

  • Experience prime product forecasting highly desired.

  • Experience with SAP highly desired.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

  • College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, is required.

  • Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process

  • Five to ten years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience

  • Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst or Engineer desired

  • Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain processes

  • A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is highly desired.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
