Ford Motor Company Power Conversion H/W Engineer-Thermal Design in China
Responsibilities:
Lead on China xHEV/BEV program power conversion H/W engineering design and release mainly include: OBC/DCDC/OBCC/OBGI.
Cascade the Ford OBC/DCDC/OBCC/OBGI H/W requirement (CDS/RQT/DR) to supplier and review supplier design to make sure meet Ford requirements. Tracking supplier FMEA/SCCAF/DV/PV and other deliverables to meet program milestones.
Lead high voltage vehicle power conversion system validation and sign-off for China lead XEV program and complete each milestone deliverables on time.
Participate into analysis on the issue found when physical validation & CAE simulation and provide technical comments on ICA/PCA.
Lead OBC/DCDC/OBCC/OBGI H/W related quality issue investigation & solutions identification and field issue solving.
Regular communication with global team on China/FNA power conversion system development status, engage in troubleshooting on issues happened globally.
China main charging related regulations tracking and market technical trend tracking and countermeasure plan support; Study/build test setup and procedure when new requirement is introduced.
Qualification:
More than 3 years OBC/DCDC H/W thermal design experience in below areas:
OBC/DCDC cooling channel design, which has the big impact on OBC/DCDC efficiency and durability.
Capable of working with other H/W engineer in high power electronics components (Mosfet , transform, inductor) thermal design /selection and packing.
Familiar with Thermal CAE analysis on DCDC/OBC (analysis on temperature distribution, coolant channel pressure drop, fluent velocity)
Capable of operation on CAE analysis tool like FLUENT, hypermesh, StarCCM+,etc.
Participate into analysis on the issue found when physical validation & CAE simulation and provide technical comments on ICA/PCA.
Knowledge of drawing Topology structure/schematics for OBC/DCDC by using AD/Cadence.
Minimal 2 programs experience on OBC/DCDC module design.

Lead and conduct high voltage vehicle level power conversion S/W validation and sign-off for China lead XEV program and complete each milestone deliverables on time.
Participate into analysis on the issue found when physical validation & CAE simulation and provide technical comments on ICA/PCA.
Lead OBC/DCDC/OBCC/OBGI S/W related quality issue investigation & solutions identification and global field issue solving.

Engineering background, EE/Power electronics, automation, etc.
Perfect with HV background.
Clear logic analysis and strong issue finding and trouble-shooting capability.
Power conversion module supplier 3 years S/W design experience preferred
Good knowledge of Netcom, Diagnostic, Cybersecurity, AutoSAR and ASPICE.
Familiar with GB/ISO/DIN DC&AC charging protocols
Familiar with GDPS or product development process.
Good communication and presentation, Planning and Project Management Skills and Self-Starter capable of establishing processes and delivering results.
Fluent in both oral and written English
