To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are looking for Senior and Principal Lighting and Electrical Engineers to join our Lighting and Energy Solutions (L&ES) team across the UK. This role is to support public and private road lighting including bespoke works within this sector.

We are seeking Individuals who have experience with Strategic Road Network and/or Local Government works and are familiar with all stages of project development, including pricing prospects and delivering projects. The individual should have experience in leading projects and teams and should be confident in a management capacity. They shall also have the technical knowledge and skills to support the production of bespoke deliverables for projects and guidance documents / initiatives to support the continued development of the wider team, whilst lighting design experience and understanding of electrical principles are essential in this role. The individual will support a range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organisations and will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.

Experience with the following software packages whilst desirable is not essential:

  • AutoCAD

  • Lighting Reality

  • Trimble Amtech ProDesign (or similar)

  • Membership with the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP) or Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and support with Engineering Council registration (IEng, CEng)

  • CPD opportunities and support in attending industry recognised events and seminars

  • Achieved IEng/CEng. Those with EngTech working towards IEng are also be welcomed

  • Experience in leading lighting and / or electrical designs and teams

  • Bespoke skills such as experience in tunnel lighting systems or technical assurance roles

  • Risk aware both in terms of CDM and financial risk and able to manage or mitigating accordingly

  • The ability to multitask in a high volume, fast paced work environment and plan work accordingly

  • Confidence with proven interpersonal, organisational, analytical, technical and communication skills

  • Familiar with the relevant British Standards and guidance documents applicable to lighting and electrical works

  • Hold relevant qualifications for lighting design (HNC Engineering / ILP Modules 1-4)
